CANON SEAL THE DEAL FOR HERALD   

Herald Graphics of Reading have just completed a significant spend on Canon Digital Production Presses with Graphic Arts Supplies.

Graphic Arts Supplies who secured their channel partnership with Canon at Drupa 2012 are delighted to have sold their first Colour and Mono production presses into the commercial print sector.

Sales Manager Lee Murphy explains how Peter Rixon at Herald Graphics was looking to upgrade his Xerox machine for dedicated Mono and Colour production presses to fulfill a major contract they had signed with a local business that has multiple sites in and around the Reading area.

" After looking carefully at what the arena had to offer Peter decided that Canon had the edge on quality of Print, registration, build quality and media handling..

The Canon Colour Image Press C6010 and the Mono Image Runner 6255i were installed in the last week of December 2012 and have already made a significant impact on the quality and speed of work being produced as well as complimenting Herald Graphics two SM74 litho presses.

Graphic Arts Supplies are to hold an open day on Thursday 7th March 2013 at Canon's newly refurbished Brentwood site and have billed the day as Digital Print The Bigger Picture.

As well as an overview of the Canon Digital Production Press Range and Inkjet Proofers there will also be guest speakers from within the industry sharing their experiences on how to maximise profit on Digital print and how it can work in harmony with traditional litho for the forseeable future.

We expect a large attendance as it is an ideal situation to enable Litho printers to understand the Digital market with greater clarity,which long term can only result in better margins".

Invitations will be sent to customers early in February.
